The Countdown Is On: Wedding Prep Made Easy with Elevate
If 2025 is the year you’ll be saying ‘I do’, you’ve probably already got more than your fair share on your to do list. But amongst the dress fittings, venue visits, table plans, and everything else wedding planning entails, have you had the time to think about your aesthetics plan?
As you may have found already, it can quickly become overwhelming trying to decide on an aesthetics prep plan that gets you the results you want at the right time, and takes into account any post treatment downtime or recovery considerations. Well, that’s where Elevate come in. We might not be able to help with the table plans, but we can definitely help with the aesthetics. We’ve gone through some of our favourite treatments and broken them down into an easy to follow timeline, complete with some general considerations and top choices for each stage in the build up to the big day.
12-6 months to go
This period should be all about laying some solid foundations and getting those longer lasting treatments completed so you can tick them off your list. It’s also a good time to start thinking about treatments with cumulative results, that you might want to start now and continue throughout your prep period to optimise your final results.
Tick off your list:
Laser hair removal: The logistics for laser hair removal can become trickier the tighter you are for time, and with best results for the majority of patients seen after 6-8 sessions (spaced 4-6 weeks apart) it’s definitely worth getting underway as soon as you can. Remember, you’ll need to avoid sun exposure and tanning for two weeks before and after any laser treatments- another good reason to get it sorted early!
Filler: Because the results of filler tend to be long lasting, it’s a great idea to get any treatments done and out of the way now. This leaves plenty of time for any top ups or adjustments and frees up your diary for any more time sensitive treatments later on. Don’t worry if you’ve missed the 12-6 month window though, as single treatments are often all that’s needed and downtime tends to be minimal, it’s a treatment that can be done much closer to the big day if needed.
Think about starting:
Botox: The results of Botox tend to last about 3-4 months after treatment, so it might feel a little early to be starting if you’re trying to get optimal results for 6-12 months time, but results tend to improve after each treatment, so it’s worth starting sooner rather than later. We’d recommend starting treatment early, continuing at regular 3-4 month intervals and factoring in a top up closer to the big day, making sure you get the best results possible.
Regular facials: We love a good facial, and with a range of options that can be tailored to your specific skin concerns they’re a brilliant way to enhance your look. Although with many you’ll see some results after a single treatment, you’re also likely to see maximum results with regular sessions, so think about starting a treatment course early on. The Elevate signature peels are a great option to target specific concerns such as redness or acne scarring, and the OBAGI blue peel and the luxurious Signature Aqua3 Hydrofacial are always firm client favourites.
6-3 months to go
Things are probably starting to feel a bit busier on all fronts here, but with a proper plan everything is doable. This is the time to ramp up a little bit on those foundations, and introduce a few more treatments that deliver optimum results with a course. It’s also a good time to think about treatments that might come with some downtime or post treatment sensitivity, to make sure there’s a comfortable time frame and no additional stress.
Tick off your list:
Cosmelan hyperpigmentation reduction: Highly effective at reducing dark spots, pigmentation and uneven skin tone, as well as improving skin texture, the Cosmelan pigmentation peel is a one off treatment with long lasting results. It can cause some sensitivity for up to 10 days after treatment, so it’s one to do while you still have a bit of time.
Elevate Intimate Body Peel: The Elevate intimate body peel can be used to to improve the appearance of sensitive areas, including the groin, pubic region, peri-anal area, and underarms. This can be a great option for brides who are conscious of underarm pigmentation but who don’t want to let it stop them wearing the style they want on their day. Results can be seen in 1-6 sessions depending on skin type, and it can result in a sensitivity for a couple of days following treatment.
Think about starting:
Body and skin contouring: at Elevate we have a couple of highly effective options to help you achieve a more contoured silhouette. By using the right tools to target stubborn fat deposits and tightening skin, we can help you achieve the sculpted physique you want. Best results are often achieved with a course of 6-9 treatments depending on the technique used.
3-1 month to go
Almost there! At this stage you’ll be continuing with some regular treatments that you started earlier on in the year, so you’re likely to be having regular facials, and might be underway with some skin tightening/contouring. We’ve got a couple more suggestions to add in, but a lot of the plan at this stage is just to continue what you’ve already started, knowing that you’re building towards some truly incredible results.
Think about starting:
Dermapen Microneedling: Give your skin an additional boost with advanced microneedling. A useful treatment for reducing scarring and pigmentation, and creating a fresher and more youthful skin appearance. We recommend 1-6 sessions depending on the concern being addressed.
Lumecca IPL Treatment: Dubbed the ‘snapchat filter’ treatment, it’s easy to see why a course of Lumecca IPL treatment might be the perfect pre-wedding treatment option! Lumecca can be used on various body areas to achieve a brighter and more even complexion. See great results in 1-4 treatments.
4 weeks to go
Now’s the time for any final tweaks and top ups, and more importantly some indulgence! You’ve laid the groundwork and can now enjoy the results of all your pre-planning. Things might be feeling a little hectic, so we hope your visits to the clinic at this point are a chance to take a bit of time to yourself and enjoy some well earned pampering.
Time for:
Final Botox top ups: Full results tend to be achieved about 2 weeks after injection, so aim to get this done towards the start of the 4 week countdown. With well performed injections there’s no ‘frozen face’ to contend with, so you can enjoy a rejuvenated appearance without worrying you won’t look like you’re enjoying the big day.
Relaxing facials: These last 4 weeks are a great time to indulge in some facial treatments. You might have been having regular facials for a while now, or you might just be looking for that final boost, but either way we love the Signature Aqua3 Hydrofacial and the Tighten and Glow Facial. Both give fantastic results and feel luxurious, whilst having minimal downtime. Often called ‘the red carpet facial’, the Tighten and Glow is a brilliant option when you’re after last minute results.
