Frown Lines

Frown lines, also known as glabellar lines, are mainly caused by the repeated action of underlying muscles associated with facial expressions. Years of squinting and frowning can lead to deep glabellar lines between the eyebrows. As we age, our skin loses elasticity, and those lines begin to stick around even after the frowning has stopped, giving a constant appearance of being stressed or angry. • Genetic Factors – The predisposition to develop deep frown lines can also be attributed to genetics. Some individuals may inherit a facial structure or skin characteristics that make them more prone to developing these lines.

• Poor Nutrition – A diet lacking essential vitamins and minerals can impact skin health negatively, making it more susceptible to signs of ageing, including frown lines.
• Dehydration – Insufficient hydration can lead to dry, less pliable skin, emphasising the appearance of wrinkles and frown lines.
• Facial Expressiveness – Expressive individuals may notice an earlier onset of a frown from overusing the muscles between the eyebrows.
